Location: McLean, VA/ Plano, TX (Onsite)

A ServiceNow SAM Pro Developer JD (Job Description) focuses on implementing, configuring, and optimizing the module, involving scripting (JavaScript), workflow automation, data model management, integration with CMDB/Discovery/Procurement, and ensuring license compliance for cost savings, with core tasks including publisher pack setup, entitlement management, and reconciliation for various software assets.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration: Lead end-to-end SAM Pro setup, customization, and configuration, including software models, entitlements, normalization, and reconciliation.
Development & Scripting: Write Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and workflows using JavaScript/GlideScript for custom automation.
Integrations: Integrate SAM Pro with CMDB, Discovery, SCCM, Tanium, Procurement systems, and external data sources.
License Optimization: Automate license harvesting, reclamation, and compliance reporting to achieve cost savings.
Data Management: Manage data imports, ensure data quality, and maintain accurate license and entitlement data.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with ITAM, procurement, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Reporting: Create dashboards, KPIs, and reports for asset utilization and compliance.

Essential Skills & Experience

Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro (and often HAM Pro).
Technical Skills: JavaScript, GlideRecord, REST APIs, ServiceNow APIs.
ITAM Knowledge: Deep understanding of asset lifecycle, license compliance, and industry best practices.
Certifications: SAM Pro or related ServiceNow certifications are often preferred.
