Skills

Summary

Seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Functional Consultant to lead functional and testing initiatives within complex ERP environments. This senior-level role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, configure core modules, and drive automation efforts to enhance testing efficiency. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in EAM, SCM, and Inventory modules while spearheading migration to automated testing using Opkey, ensuring quality and consistency across multiple project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to capture detailed business requirements, identify process gaps, and address pain points in EAM, SCM, and Inventory modules.
  • Translate business needs into functional designs, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and user stories for development and testing teams.
  • Provide best-practice guidance and hands-on configuration for EBS modules including EAM, Purchasing/Order Management within SCM, and Inventory, ensuring alignment with business processes.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, develop functional design documentation (MD50/BR100), and assess cross-module impacts during solutioning.
  • Define comprehensive end-to-end test strategies for enhancements, patches, and upgrades, including planning regression and smoke tests.
  • Curate manual test cases to be automation-ready by making them parameterized, modular, and reusable within automation frameworks.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate business sign-offs, and ensure complete traceability from requirements through testing to deployment.
  • Act as primary liaison with business process owners, project managers, and QA leads to communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Lead the migration of manual test scripts to Opkey, creating automation blueprints, building reusable components, object repositories, and integrating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support defect management activities, including root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and SQL-based data validation for testing and defect resolution.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of Oracle EBS functional consulting experience, with deep knowledge of R12/R12.2 version and core modules including EAM, SCM (e.g., PO/Order Management), and Inventory.
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Opkey or similar test automation tools, including converting manual tests, building reusable automation components, and designing dashboard reports.
  • Proven track record designing and executing various testing types such as UAT, regression, smoke, and system integration testing within EBS environments.
  • Strong documentation skills, including experience creating BRDs, MD50s, test plans, RTMs, and operational runbooks.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (read/validate) and basic PL/SQL familiarity for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA, and understanding of CI/CD practices related to test automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating complex business processes into clear testing requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with development teams on RICEW objects, API integrations, and performance considerations.
  • Availability for on-site work at the designated location.
