Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Hands on Tech Lead - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Addison, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, leading a small agile team of developers, testers, and a Product Owner. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to the team, clear roadblocks, solve design challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end delivery for a small agile team

Requirements: - 12+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Architecture, and leading teams
- Experience with Kafka and Oracle Databases
- Proficiency with Java and backend frameworks including Java 8/21, Spring Boot 2/3, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Batch
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and JVM tuning
- Experience building REST/SOA services and using JUnit
- Expertise in distributed systems architecture, including solution architecture, HLD/LLD, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of domain-driven design, scalability, resiliency, security, and observability
- Experience with legacy-to-cloud-native modernization
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka and/or MQ
- Proficiency with Oracle SQL/PLSQL
Desired skills: - Experience with Generative AI / Agentic AI
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering
- Knowledge of AI-assisted SDLC concepts
Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
