About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Delta) to act as a technical leader within the Palantir ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in Palantir Foundry architecture, development, and deployment, supporting enterprise-scale use cases such as Axis, inventory, and operational analytics.
You will bridge business and technology—architecting solutions, driving deployments, and delivering measurable outcomes in a complex data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Palantir Foundry
- Architect and manage the Ontology layer (object types, link types, action types, interfaces)
- Develop high-performance transforms using Python (PySpark, Pandas, Polars), SQL, and Java
- Build function-backed logic using TypeScript/Python
- Create Workshop applications and OSDK-based custom apps
- Implement enterprise-grade data governance (RBAC, ABAC, markings, restricted views)
- Design AIP-powered workflows including RAG pipelines and AI-driven automation
🔹 Deployment & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary technical SME for Palantir engagements
- Lead end-to-end deployments: scoping → architecture → build → deploy → optimize
- Translate business requirements into scalable Foundry solutions
- Partner with stakeholders across business, engineering, and analytics teams
- Identify new use cases and drive platform adoption and expansion
🔹 Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs)
- Establish best practices for:
- Code quality & reviews
- CI/CD & branching strategies
- Incremental pipeline design
- Drive knowledge sharing and internal enablement
🔹 Platform Expertise & Innovation
- Stay current with Foundry capabilities:
- Pipeline Builder, Code Workspaces
- Ontology & OSDK
- Model Studio & AIP
- Build and deploy ML models and predictive analytics solutions
- Collaborate with product teams to influence platform improvements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Software Engineering / Data Engineering / Technical Consulting
- 2+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience (mandatory)
- Strong programming skills in:
- Python (PySpark, Pandas, Polars)
- SQL
- TypeScript (preferred)
- Proven experience building:
- Enterprise data pipelines (batch & streaming)
- Workshop / OSDK applications
- Deep understanding of:
- Ontology design and implementation
- Foundry data lifecycle (ingestion → transformation → application)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong expertise in BigQuery optimization & data warehousing
- Hands-on with:
- AIP (Agents, Logic, LLM workflows)
- Model Studio / ML lifecycle
- Data governance & security:
- HIPAA compliance
- Cipher, ABAC, restricted datasets
- Prior experience in healthcare or regulated industries
- Experience leading teams of 3+ engineers
