Summary
Job Description
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an Electrical Technician I to support final inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution products. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical testing, verify product functionality, identify and resolve issues, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up, inspect, and test electrical equipment and assemblies.
- Perform electrical, insulation, sequence, and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot test failures and determine root causes.
- Coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Verify product configurations and customer requirements.
- Support customer inspections and testing activities.
- Maintain testing equipment, calibration records, and test documentation.
- Follow all safety, PPE, housekeeping, and quality procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power distribution or electrical distribution environments.
- Experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must reside within 50 miles of Arden, NC (unless exempt under applicable military provisions).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working with energized electrical equipment in a testing environment.
- Additional experience interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
