Electrical Cost Estimator

Job Description

We looking for an experienced Electrical cost Estimator to prepare bids. This is a full-time, in-office position with the ideal candidate being self-driven, communicative, thorough, organized, and responsible, and someone who will take great pride in their work and our company. We treat our business like a family and are looking to add another member to our close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Understand the project and requirements detailed in the bid documents

• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.

• Obtain and review offers and quotes by vendors or subcontractors

• Assemble estimates and create and submit proposals to clients

• Build relationships with clients to source services and receive feedback on bid proposals

• Build relationships with key vendors (supply houses, subcontractors, etc.)

• Provide consultation during project kickoff meetings to aid planning and coordination of new projects

• Run through the bid board directly with ownership to discuss bidding strategies and prioritize new bid requests

Skills

• Experience as an electrical estimator

• Knowledge of estimation formulas and data analysis methods

• Proficient in EBM Vision (or comparable estimating software such as Accubid)

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Thorough, reliable, highly organized, and able to multi-task

• Growth mindset

• Collaborative when necessary

• Thrives in working under deadlines
