Front-End Developer (Chainlit, or Streamlit Exp)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a Front-End Developer with strong experience in front-end UX/UI design, React development, and highly interactive analytics and reporting interfaces. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building production-grade user interfaces for AI/ML and GenAI solutions using React, Chainlit, or Streamlit.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in front-end UX/UI design for analytics dashboards and highly interactive reporting.
- Experience developing with React or building scalable, highly customized, production-grade user interfaces.
- Experience in front-end development with Chainlit or Streamlit for AI/ML or GenAI solutions with complex state management and data handling, including:
Real-time updates
Loading states
Retry states
Partial responses
- Experience in latency handling and async UX patterns.
- Experience developing explainable AI interfaces, including confidence, sources, disclaimers, and prompt design basics.
- Hands-on experience building chat interfaces, including streaming responses, handling recommendations, and AI-assisted workflows such as autocomplete and summarization.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical certifications in the following areas:
AWS certifications
Snowflake certifications
BI certifications, including Power BI or Tableau
- AI/ML or GenAI-related coursework or credentials
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or BI analytics.
- At least 3 years of experience working with AI/ML or GenAI technologies to design and build AI/GenAI solutions using cloud services such as AWS, Snowflake, or Azure.
- Practical hands-on experience using OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms, building natural language to programming languages such as SQL/query, designing prompt strategies for business insights, and prompt engineering to guide system behavior.
- Experience developing semantic models supporting natural language querying and AI-driven analytics (GenBI), statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and optimization.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields from an accredited or government-sanctioned college/university. CalSTRS may request a copy of the diploma/degree.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid work model requiring the proposed onsite project person to work 2 to 3 business days per week, West Sacramento, CA.
- The position requires onsite availability in accordance with the hybrid working model.
- Three professional references are required.
