Summary

Step into a pivotal role as an AWS Cloud Engineer, where you'll play a key part in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in a dynamic life insurance environment. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in the rollout and maintenance of AWS services integral to insurance operations and data management.
  • Work under senior engineers to establish Infrastructure as Code practices using tooling like Terraform.
  • Manage cloud environments to align with strict security and compliance standards in the sector.
  • Monitor AWS resources, troubleshooting issues to meet customer service expectations.
  • Engage actively in deploying internal applications through CI/CD workflows.
  • Generate thorough documentation for audits, incident management, and regulatory needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on security and compliance to ensure governance standards.
  • Pursue skill development through mentorship and training in cloud technologies.
Skills
  • Basic knowledge of AWS core services or relevant certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Experience managing Linux or Windows servers within secure settings.
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including subnets and firewalls.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Eager to advance cloud engineering expertise in a regulated industry.
Preferred Skills
  • Practical AWS experience, ideally involving enterprise security or regulated data.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and automation pipelines.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience in compliance standards like SOC 2 and least-privilege access models.
