IT Project Manager (Remote / Hybrid)
Our client, an energy supplier and community leader, is looking for an IT Project Manager for their Phoenix, Arizona location.
This is 12-month contract position. While the role is currently eligible for remote work, candidates should be aware that hybrid expectations may be introduced in the future. Flexibility to work onsite for up to two days per week, if requested, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities for IT Project Manager:
- Lead small to medium complexity projects, assuming accountability for delivering results.
- Manage project team, including internal and external resources.
- Develop project plans, budgets, scope, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables using company’s PMO tools and templates.
- Conduct analyses to estimate and track project costs and budgets.
- Define resource requirements and negotiate availability with resource managers.
- Manage vendor relationships to align vendor schedules, costs, and deliverables with the overall project plan.
- Establish, maintain, and update project risk log. Resolve project issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Manage project change control and follow existing policies.
- Ensure project-related documentation is accurate and complete.
Skills and Qualifications for IT Project Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience, managing a combination of the following types of projects:
- Network infrastructure and cloud modernization projects
- Cybersecurity, access control, and security standardization
- SCADA and operational technology projects
- Asset management and GIS-related initiatives
- Enterprise applications implementations (CIS, SaaS, and system integrations)
- Application familiarity with: ESRI, IQGEO, Verkada, CUSI, Elements, Splunk, Five9, SAP
- Demonstrated success applying project management concepts and techniques across multiple, simultaneous projects
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including problem solving and critical thinking, with attention to detail
- Ability to facilitate meetings and manage difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to gain and maintain credibility at all levels of the organization
- Understanding of business process improvement and change management desired
- PMI or equivalent certification preferred
