Job Description : 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure across multi-site data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux administration, VMware virtualization, OpenShift/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, networking, and security operations.

Primary Responsibilities

·Manage and administer Linux (RHEL/Rocky) virtual machines across multi-site data center environments.

·Operate and maintain OpenShift container platforms, including user management and workload troubleshooting.

·Support AVI Vantage load balancer operations, including virtual service configuration, pool management, SSL bindings, and health monitors.

·Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation, including user management, security agent deployment, OS patching, and SSH hardening.

·Fulfill daily infrastructure requests, including VM provisioning, resource augmentation, and access provisioning.

·Manage hardware infrastructure, including Dell iDRAC, OpenManage, BIOS/firmware updates, decommission coordination, and EOSL tracking.

·Deploy and maintain security agents across hosts.

·Manage the SSL certificate lifecycle, including installation and expiration tracking.

·Support FreeIPA and Keycloak identity services, including user provisioning, group management, and authentication troubleshooting.

·Coordinate vulnerability management activities to patch or mitigate findings on data center hosts.

·Participate in an on-call rotation for infrastructure and production support.

·Work with Jira for workflow and infrastructure request management.

·Support infrastructure troubleshooting across operating systems, networks, applications, virtualization, and security layers.

Required Qualifications

·5+ years of experience in enterprise Linux systems administration, particularly RHEL 7/8/9 or Rocky Linux.

·Strong knowledge of Ansible for infrastructure automation, including playbooks, roles, inventories, and Vault.

·Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, including cluster operations, user management, and workload troubleshooting.

·Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms and VM lifecycle management.

·Experience with application delivery controllers/load balancers such as AVI Vantage; F5 BIG-IP experience is a plus.

·Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge server hardware, including iDRAC, OpenManage, and BIOS/firmware updates.

·Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar technologies.

·Experience with identity management platforms such as FreeIPA, LDAP, Keycloak, or Active Directory.

·Understanding of SSL/TLS certificate management and PKI concepts.

·Proficiency with Git, including branching, merge requests, and collaborative workflows such as GitLab.

·Experience working in multi-site data center environments.

·Functional knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud Platform, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM.

·Strong troubleshooting skills across network, OS, and application layers.

·Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests, and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

·Experience with AVI Vantage, specifically virtual services, pools, and health monitors.

·Experience with Sunlight Forwarder deployment and log pipeline configuration.

·Experience with vulnerability tracking and workflow/request management.

·Experience using Jira for workflow and infrastructure requests.

·Familiarity with hardware lifecycle planning, EOSL tracking, and capacity planning.

·Experience with Python scripting for operational automation, including firewall rules and DNS.

·Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and DNS.

·Experience supporting Cisco UCS or Dell EMC Unity storage platforms.

·Hands-on experience migrating workloads from on-premises environments to AWS or Google Cloud Platform, including lift-and-shift or re-platforming.

·Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar deployment technologies.

·Experience with cloud-native container orchestration platforms such as Amazon EKS and GKE, in addition to on-premises OpenShift.
