Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Android Developer - Hybrid for a contract to hire opportunity with a Global Financial Institution located in Addison, TX. This role is for a senior Android developer with expertise in native test automation solutions using Kotlin. The selected candidate will participate in the full application life-cycle, including developing automation scripts, testing, and releasing applications to the app store, while working with product teams on new ideas and designs. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and prototype Android mobile applications for phone and tablets
- Participate in the full app life-cycle: develop automation scripts, test, and release to the app store
- Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates
- Keep up to date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms
- Drive the best practices approach to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools
- Write and maintain documentation for all features in development
- Collaborate with the design team to define app features
- Ensure quality and performance of the application to specifications
- Maintain the code and atomization of the application
Requirements: - 5-7 years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience on Android Platforms, developing with Kotlin and/or Java
- Must have development experience in Core Java
- Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium
- Experience designing and building native mobile applications on the Android platform
- Proficient in Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Swift UI, Web Services, and Rest Services
- Proficient in code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket
- Extensive knowledge of XCode
- Knowledge of C-based libraries
- Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, and usage of Camera APIs
Desired skills: - Mobile Test Automation with Appium on Android and iOS platforms
- Experience with continuous integration and unit tests
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
