We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team supporting enterprise-scale Insurance and Financial Services initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in AWS cloud, Python, SQL, Spark, ETL/ELT, and modern data platforms who enjoy building scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data solutions.
You will work closely with Data Scientists, Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to design and deliver enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data processing solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data applications on AWS.
Develop robust data ingestion pipelines from on-premises systems and cloud sources using AWS services.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to process structured and unstructured data while ensuring quality, security, and reliability.
Design enterprise data lakes and data warehouse solutions using Amazon S3, Redshift, Athena, and related AWS technologies.
Participate in architecture and solution design discussions for large-scale enterprise data platforms.
Develop production-quality code, perform unit testing, and participate in peer code reviews.
Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and other AWS-native services.
Migrate enterprise data from relational databases, file systems, APIs, and legacy platforms into AWS cloud environments.
Develop real-time streaming data pipelines using Amazon Kinesis, SQS, and Kafka (preferred).
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native data engineering solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Evaluate emerging technologies and develop proof-of-concepts to improve enterprise data platforms.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA teams, Architects, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise AWS data platforms.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Extensive experience with AWS services including:
Experience developing serverless applications and cloud-native data pipelines.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and big data technologies.
Experience designing enterprise data lakes and cloud data warehouse architectures.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with API Gateway, Amazon OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Amazon SQS.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience building real-time streaming data solutions using Amazon Kinesis, Kafka, and SQS.
AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certification.
Understanding of Lakehouse architectures and modern cloud data platforms.
Knowledge of enterprise data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
