Senior Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric & Medallion Architecture)

IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) is in the midst of a multi-platform technologymodernization, migrating from a legacy Personify system to a modern stack includingSalesforce, Thought Industries, Microsoft Business Central, Chargebee, Boomi, and MicrosoftFabric. We are seeking a Data Integration Engineer to ensure that transactional data flowingfrom our event hub is correctly ingested, transformed, and validated within our enterprise datamodel built on Microsoft Fabric’s medallion architecture.This role is critical to enabling downstream financial reporting, revenue forecasting, and theparallel validation process required before IMA can confidently cut over to Business Central forfinancial operations.What You’ll Do• Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest events from the Boomi-powered eventhub into the Microsoft Fabric Bronze layer, with proper schema validation and errorhandling.• Design and implement transformations across the Bronze ? Silver ? Gold medallionlayers, ensuring data is cleansed, conformed, and ready for reporting consumption.• Map conformed dimensions and fact tables per the IMA DataHub technicalspecification (v1.2), aligning to the enterprise data model’s defined grain and businessrules.• Coordinate with the Boomi integration team to validate event schemas, resolve dataquality issues, and ensure new event types are properly captured as product activationprogresses.• Support identity resolution data flows from Tilores into the enterprise model, ensuringgolden record references are maintained across all conformed dimensions.IMA Technology Modernization ProgramCONTRACT POSITIONIMA – Contract Position DescriptionPage 2• Validate end-to-end data integrity by building reconciliation checks between sourcesystems (Thought Industries, Chargebee, Business Central) and the enterprise datamodel.• Document data lineage, transformation logic, and pipeline configurations tosupport auditability and knowledge transfer.Required Skills & ExperienceCore Technical Skills• Microsoft Fabric – hands-on experience with lakehouses, notebooks, data pipelines, andthe medallion architecture pattern (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
