Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise mainframe applications using COBOL and IBM mainframe technologies.
- Design, test, and implement application changes while ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Analyze and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:

Education
|
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
|
|
Experience
|
6+ years of experience in COBOL mainframe application development using IBM technologies, with candidates having no more than 15 years of total professional experience.

|
Technical Skills
|
COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, Mainframe Development, IBM z/OS, Application Debugging
|
|
Business / Domain Skills
|
Application Development, Software Maintenance, Production Support, System Analysis, Problem Solving, SDLC
|
|
Communication
|
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
|
|
Documentation
|
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
|
|
Work Authorization
|
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IBM mainframe environments and enterprise application support.
- Strong knowledge of software development, testing, and debugging methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
