Job Title: Cloud/DevOps Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH, 43240 (5 days onsite role)
Duration: 12 months with possible extension or conversion
1st Preference: Local W2 folks only
2nd preference: Can consider W2 relocation folks (Case to Case)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud/ DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS cloud services, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code to enable secure, reliable, and automated deployments across environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate application build, test, and deployment processes.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and maintain AWS resources.
Configure, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS and EKS (Kubernetes).
Provision and manage AWS services including VPC, ECR, ALB, and S3 buckets to support application infrastructure.
Implement and maintain IAM policies, security controls, and RBAC configurations to ensure secure access and compliance.
Monitor system health, performance, and logs using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve automation, reliability, and scalability of cloud-based systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards, governance policies, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of IAM policies, RBAC, and cloud security best practices.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
Familiarity with financial services or regulated environments.
