Job Description:

This position is for an IT Operations Project Manager role supporting client infrastructure projects. The Project Manager will support IT Operations by managing enterprise infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and closeout. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver network, voice, telephony, data center, infrastructure resiliency, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives. The Project Manager will also support related network, compute, storage, cloud, and data center consolidation efforts as priorities evolve.

The IT Project Management role requires proven experience with Network and Infrastructure projects, with experience reflected in resume. The successful candidate will join active projects already in progress and will be expected to quickly establish ownership, maintain execution continuity, and provide clear project governance and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • The candidate should be hands-on in project execution and comfortable engaging in technical infrastructure discussions, while remaining focused on project management, coordination, governance, and delivery.
  • Manage assigned infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Take ownership of active projects already in progress and ensure continuity of execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and team members to develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, RAID logs, action items, and status reports.
  • Lead project meetings, working sessions, implementation planning, and status reviews, documenting and sharing minutes or outcomes of sessions.
  • Coordinate engineers, architects, vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests.
  • Support infrastructure cutovers, migrations, refreshes, deployments, and modernization activities.
  • Track deliverables, owners, due dates, and completion status to ensure project commitments are met.
  • Escalate blockers and drive timely resolution with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, implementation plans, and closeout materials.
  • Facilitate decision-making and ensure technical and business stakeholders remain aligned.
  • Prepare executive-ready status reporting, meeting notes, stakeholder updates, and project communications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure concepts including infrastructure lifecycle management, hardware refreshes, and end-of-life remediation.
  • Experience supporting voice and telephony projects.
  • Familiarity with data center operations, disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud services, automated deployments, compute, and storage technologies.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts without performing hands-on engineering work.
  • Ability to manage dependencies, facilitate decisions, challenge assumptions, and maintain credibility with engineers, architects, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, meeting leadership, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical discussions into business-friendly updates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and technical dependencies within the same or multiple projects.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and third-party vendors while working in large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing RAID logs, project schedules, status reporting, implementation plans, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience taking over projects already in flight and quickly establishing ownership.
