The RoleThe Senior Director, US Market Data and Technology is a critical leadership position within the US Market Business Operations organization, reporting directly to the Vice President, US Market Business Operations. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and evolution of the US Market's business information, data, customer relationship management (CRM), and commercialization technology capabilities to support business performance and operational excellence.
This individual will lead a team of 3 direct reports and 8 total team members across three functional pillars of Data and Technology: Data Strategy & Governance, Data Visualization and Business Technology.
The Senior Director will serve as the strategic link between business priorities and technology execution, ensuring data, platforms, processes, and reporting capabilities are aligned to support commercial objectives and enable informed decision-making. This role requires a leader who can establish a long-term vision while remaining closely connected to execution, providing guidance and direction to the team and business partners to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
This individual will partner closely with Business Insights & Analytics, Omni-Channel, Sales, Marketing, Field & Marketing Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Global Information Technology (IT), and other key stakeholders to ensure business information, technology platforms, and data capabilities are aligned with both US Market priorities and enterprise technology strategies.
A critical component of this role is fostering strong collaboration across a highly matrixed organization, ensuring effective communication and alignment between Business Operations and US Market teams to deliver scalable, sustainable, and business-driven solutions.
Responsibilities- Execute and enhance the US Market, Data and Technology strategy and roadmap to support the evolving needs of the US Market, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology capabilities, and data assets.
- Partner with Business Operations leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technology, data, reporting, and operational solutions.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy that supports business decision-making, commercial performance, and future organizational growth.
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive data acquisition strategy to support US market commercialization of key Assets (including identification and evaluation of sources, knowledge repository of key sources, procurement and acquisition)
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices in partnership with data privacy and compliance to ensure data quality, consistency, accessibility, compliance, and security.
- Provide strategic oversight of master data management, business data stewardship, source file management, field roster management, and other foundational business information capabilities.
- Partner with Global IT to align US Market priorities with enterprise technology architecture, infrastructure, and governance standards.
- Lead the strategy, implementation, optimization, and adoption of a new Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM) and commercial technology platforms, including Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and related customer engagement technologies.
- Partner with Field and Marketing Operations, Sales, and Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access leadership to ensure CRM capabilities and business processes support field effectiveness and customer engagement objectives.
- Lead efforts to gather, evaluate, and prioritize end-user feedback to continuously improve CRM functionality, adoption, and overall user experience.
- Drive the optimization and streamlining of business tools, platforms, and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness. Partner with Data Science and DDAI organizations to evolve tools and integrate evolving AI technologies.
- Partner with Business Insights & Analytics and Field and Marketing Operations (reporting) to identify key business metrics and performance indicators and ensure they are effectively translated into reporting, dashboards, and data visualization tools.
- Lead the team responsible for delivering business intelligence platforms that provide timely, actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization.
- Evaluate opportunities to enhance data integration, reporting capabilities, and analytics infrastructure to support future business needs.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across Business Operations, Business Insights & Analytics, Omni-Channel, and Information Technology teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business priorities.
- Build, develop, and empower a high-performing team by identifying capability needs, providing coaching and mentorship, and ensuring appropriate organizational support to meet current and future business demands.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction while promoting accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Ensure all technology, data, CRM, and reporting initiatives are designed to drive measurable business impact and support the strategic objectives of the US Market.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading business-facing technology and in depth data experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams within a highly matrixed organization.
- Strong experience developing and executing data strategy, data governance, and master data management initiatives.
- Experience partnering with Information Technology organizations to implement and optimize business technology solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology, data, reporting, and operational capabilities.
- Experience leading CRM strategy, implementation, optimization, and user adoption initiatives.
- Strong understanding of commercial oncology pharmaceutical data assets, including specialty pharmacy, specialty distributor, chargeback, claims, third-party media, and syndicated data sources.
- Experience establishing and enhancing business intelligence, dashboarding, and data visualization capabilities to support executive and commercial decision-making.
- Working knowledge of modern data and analytics platforms, including Databricks, DBT, Tableau, and related technologies preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Field and Marketing Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Business Insights & Analytics, Omni-Channel, Operations, and Information Technology.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution and drive results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$238,000.00---$357,000.00
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
