Events Program Manager San Jose, CA Experience Required: 3 6 Years (Junior-Mid)We are seeking an experienced Events Program Manager who brings strong project and program management expertise with a passion for the events space. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is skilled at managing medium to large-scale events while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive measurable event outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead end-to-end event management and production, including logistics such as venue management, catering, transportation, content development, and event marketing.
- Plan and execute medium to large-scale events while coordinating with multiple vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and manage event budgets, negotiations, pitching, and stakeholder presentations.
- Create post-event reports, analyze outcomes, and conduct retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish processes for tracking and measuring event impact; report insights to key stakeholders.
- Maintain strong working relationships with agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.
- Build, track, and analyze event metrics using Google Sheets and dashboards.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3 5 years of experience in event planning and management.
- Strong program/project management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets (tracking, reporting, formulas).
- Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Ability to build dashboards and automate reporting processes.
- Prior experience in developer relations or working with developer communities.
