Position Overview

experienced SAP FP&A Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, SAP S/4HANA, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

This role requires a consultant who understands the financial planning and analytical side of SAP rather than traditional transactional accounting.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting financial forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting within an SAP environment, along with the technical capabilities to support financial data integrations and analytics using Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Support FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and enhance Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting, including revenue, operating expenses, margins, and profitability.
  • Support financial modeling, scenario analysis, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
  • Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts to identify trends and business drivers.
  • Partner with FP&A and Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into SAP technical solutions.
  • Develop management reporting solutions, financial dashboards, and performance analytics.
  • Support cost center planning, profit center analysis, and profitability reporting.

SAP S/4HANA & Financial Analytics

  • Leverage SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling capabilities to support financial planning and performance management.
  • Work with SAP CO, CO-PA, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and financial data structures to support profitability and management reporting.
  • Design and enhance SAP financial reporting solutions supporting P&L analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Work with SAP CDS Views, data models, and financial data extraction processes.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional, technical, and data engineering teams to improve financial reporting capabilities.

Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)

  • Support the integration of SAP financial data into Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Work with Google Cloud Platform technologies, including BigQuery, to support FP&A reporting and financial analytics.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to develop financial data pipelines and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure accurate financial data transformation, reconciliation, and integration between SAP and cloud-based reporting platforms.
  • Support scalable cloud-based financial analytics and reporting initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of SAP experience, with strong exposure to SAP Finance, Controlling, and financial analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial performance management, variance analysis, profitability, and management reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling.
  • Experience working with SAP financial data models, reporting, and technical integrations.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), preferably BigQuery and financial data integration.
  • Strong SQL and financial data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work directly with FP&A teams to understand financial planning requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning, SAP BPC, or other enterprise planning tools.
  • Experience with SAP CO-PA, profitability reporting, and cost center planning.
  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA financial data with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, CDS Views, and Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
  • Experience with financial dashboards, planning models, and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with Python and cloud-based data transformation.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or large enterprise financial environments.
Important Candidate Requirements

This is an FP&A-focused SAP technical position, not a traditional SAP FICO accounting role.

Candidates whose primary experience is in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, month-end close, or financial accounting configuration will not be the strongest fit unless they also have substantial FP&A experience.

We are specifically seeking candidates who have supported budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, financial planning, profitability reporting, and management-level financial analytics using SAP S/4HANA and Google Cloud Platform.
