Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware for a custom System-on-Chip (SoC) within an advanced research and development environment. This role involves working on cutting-edge hardware and integrating multiple sensor technologies into embedded systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop firmware to integrate custom image sensors with microcontrollers (MCUs)
  • Interface firmware with hardware acceleration blocks
  • Develop firmware for sensors such as IMU, barometers, and magnetometers
  • Design and implement bootloaders
  • Build test applications to interface with various peripherals
  • Validate and test firmware with hardware systems
  • Document system design, development processes, and performance analysis

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in firmware or embedded software development using C/C++
  • 2+ years of experience developing drivers for camera sensors on new ICs
  • 2+ years of experience working with multi-core SoCs or MCUs
  • Experience with Zephyr OS, Embedded Linux, or other RTOS
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MIPI C-PHY and image sensor technologies
  • Experience with communication protocols such as I3C, SPI, UART, and USB
  • Knowledge of Embedded Linux and kernel driver development
  • Understanding of file systems in embedded environments
  • Experience developing bootloaders for both small MCUs and larger SoCs
  • Experience with low-power optimization techniques
  • Strong technical documentation and writing skills

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in firmware or embedded software development (C/C++)
  • 2+ years of experience with multi-core SoCs or MCUs
  • Experience with Zephyr OS, Embedded Linux, or other RTOS

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with MIPI C-PHY and image sensors
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and kernel drivers
  • Low power optimization of embedded systems
