Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: TORONTO, CANADA

Responsibilities
Perform various duties including modifying, updating, creating and/or developing weld-related manufacturing work instructions.
Determines the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solves production problems during the build of mechanical piece parts and assemblies.
Assists in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management.
Develops and maintains all assembly documentation.
Troubleshoot/correct anomalies and discrepant hardware.
Performs producibility reviews on engineering designs/drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability.
Provide technical support and oversight of production personnel while performing the manufacturing process in an ISO class 7 cleanroom environment.
Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
Experience with 3D model based instruction
Experience with any of the following: IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Moonshine Shop, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
Define and control the production process, including tooling and equipment
Monitor and analyze existing manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, inspection, etc.) to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost
Collaborate with production teams, quality assurance, and design engineering to optimize product designs for manufacturability and resolve non-conformance issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 8 - 15 years' of engineering experience
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma
