Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM / Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Test Lead to oversee end-to-end testing activities for an SAP project. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), procurement processes, and integration with SAP FI, CO, and Project Systems (PS).
The candidate will be responsible for defining testing strategies, preparing test scenarios, coordinating test execution, managing defects, and ensuring successful validation of PTP business processes.
Experience with SAP carve-outs, company code restructuring, data migration, and business divestitures is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
1. Test Strategy & Leadership
•    Define and execute comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, and testing schedules for SAP MM/PTP processes.
•    Lead functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•    Coordinate testing activities across business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
•    Monitor testing progress, defect resolution, and overall test readiness.
2. Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Process Testing
•    Validate end-to-end PTP processes, including Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Receipts (GR), Invoice Verification (MIRO), and payment integration.
•    Test direct and indirect procurement, service procurement, subcontracting, consignment, and stock transport orders (STO), as applicable.
•    Validate purchase order release strategies, approval workflows, pricing conditions, and account assignments.
•    Ensure accurate testing of procurement master data, including vendors, material masters, purchasing information records, and source lists.
3. SAP Integration Testing
•    Coordinate integration testing between SAP MM and FI, CO, PS, SD, and WM.
•    Validate automatic account determination, GR/IR clearing, invoice postings, and project-based procurement.
•    Test procurement transactions involving cost centers, internal orders, WBS elements, and asset account assignments.
•    Validate procurement interfaces with external applications, including SAP Ariba, where applicable.
4. Data Migration & Carve-Out Testing
•    Validate procurement master data and open purchasing document migration.
•    Test company code, plant, and purchasing organization assignments.
•    Perform reconciliation of migrated purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and related procurement data.
•    Ensure successful testing of procurement processes following organizational restructuring or company divestitures.
•    Support cutover testing, mock conversions, and post-migration validation.
5. Defect Management & Reporting
•    Track, prioritize, and manage testing defects using Jira, HP ALM, or SAP Solution Manager.
•    Conduct defect triage meetings and coordinate resolution with functional and technical teams.
•    Prepare testing dashboards, execution metrics, and status reports.
•    Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications
SAP MM / PTP Expertise
•    Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM and end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes.
•    Hands-on experience with purchasing, inventory management, service procurement, and invoice verification.
•    Strong understanding of SAP MM integration with FI, CO, and PS.
Testing Leadership
•    5+ years of experience leading SAP functional and integration testing activities.
•    Experience developing test strategies, test scenarios, test scripts, and test execution plans.
•    Proven experience managing SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
Tools & Technologies
•    Proficiency in HP ALM, Jira, or SAP Solution Manager.
•    Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
•    Familiarity with SAP data migration, reconciliation, and testing methodologies.
Communication & Collaboration
•    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to coordinate across functional, technical, and business teams.
•    Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Carve-Out Experience
•    Experience supporting SAP carve-outs, organizational restructuring, system splits, or company divestitures.
•    Knowledge of company code separation, procurement data migration, and cutover testing.
Integration Experience
•    Experience with SAP Ariba procurement integration.
•    Understanding of SAP WM and inventory management integration.
•    Knowledge of interfaces, IDocs, BAPIs, and procurement-related enhancements.
Industry Experience
•    Prior experience in manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or project-based procurement environments is advantageous.
