Summary

Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the infrastructure team, responsible for the design, implementation, and high-level support of Quest's enterprise network. This role specifically focuses on the connectivity, performance, and reliability of the Epic application ecosystem hosted in the cloud. You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure the network infrastructure supports critical healthcare delivery systems across the enterprise.

*Please note this position will be hybrid (3 days in office & 2 days WFH). The position can be based in one of the following locations: Secaucus, NJ, Lenexa, KS, Norristown, PA or Irving, TX.

Pay Range: $112,000-$130,000/ year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage the network pathways (VPCs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect) required for high-performance Epic cloud hosting.
  • Provide input on the design and implementation of LAN/WLAN/WAN/MAN solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provision new circuits for internet and site to site connectivity, manage advanced firewall policies and VPN technologies.
  • Resolve complex issues involving routing, switching, and DDI in a multi-tier environment.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot operational issues involving authentication, wireless, routers, switches, DDI, Cloud and VPN in a multi-routing (OSPF, BGP, static) infrastructure.
  • Lead IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring all solutions are documented and scalable.
  • Provision and troubleshoot internet and connectivity to ensure seamless data flow between Quest sites and cloud providers.
  • Train and mentor engineers and IT staff to maintain a high level of technical competency across the team.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 6+ years of enterprise network engineering experience in regulated environment
  • Expertise in large-scale routing and switching environments.

Preferred:
  1. 10+ years of experience in a technical network engineering capacity in enterprise routing, switching, firewall, Wireless and Cloud environment.
  2. Advanced knowledge of Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform), Cloud Transit Gateways, express routes, Load Balancing (Cloud Native, F5 and Citrix ADC).

Travel Required:
  • Domestic travel up to 25%

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing:
  • Proficiency in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority (CA) management.

Preferred Technical Training or Professional Licensing:
  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Security (CCNP Security)
  • Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certifications
  • Cloud specific networking certifications in Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking

English language required.
