Programmer 3 (.NET Web Developer)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Programmer 3 will perform specialized programming and technical work for website and internet development in a collaborative environment using industry-standard technologies and procedures. This position works under limited supervision and requires independent judgment and initiative.

REQUIRED SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  Design and develop web and standalone applications using approved architecture
  Participate in Agile and/or traditional project management methodologies
  Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather and clarify requirements
  Present technical information to Project Review Boards and Technical Review Boards
  Create, update, and maintain system documentation (technical & functional specifications)
  Draft technical data models and design data elements to meet application needs
  Develop reusable, secure, and scalable code following State of Michigan standards
  Mitigate application-level security risks and remediate vulnerabilities
  Participate in code reviews, structured walkthroughs, and stage exits
  Follow configuration and change management procedures
  Support System Engineering   SUITE standards for Agile and traditional methodologies
  Perform unit, string, and integrated testing
  Develop test scripts, test plans, and test cases
  Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed reports
  Develop user manuals and conduct training as required
  Evaluate and analyze enhancement requests for system impact

EDUCATION

  Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
