You will work alongside experienced designers and project teams, gaining hands-on experience creating real-world designs used in commercial spaces throughout New England. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys design, technology, and problem-solving and wants to develop their technical drafting skills while learning the commercial design industry.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Create and update drawings using AutoCAD
  • Assist designers with workplace technology and commercial design projects
  • Learn how to interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, project managers, and field teams
  • Maintain project documentation and drawing files
  • Support multiple projects while meeting quality and deadline expectations
  • Gain exposure to workplace technology, AV systems, and commercial space planning

Required Qualifications
  • Early-career professional with AutoCAD experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, CAD, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Design, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • AutoCAD experience gained through school projects, internships, co-ops, or professional experience
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Interest in commercial design, architecture, engineering, or workplace technology

Nice to Have
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience using AutoCAD
  • Exposure to Revit, Bluebeam, or similar design software
  • Coursework or experience involving construction documents, engineering drawings, or building systems
  • Interest in workplace technology, AV systems, architecture, or construction
  • Experience working on team projects in a professional or academic setting

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
