W2 only Job Overview: In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to resolving complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Collaboration and consultation with client personnel will be a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities: - Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
- Analyze and resolve multi-faceted challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Collaborate strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables.
- Participate in hands-on development as a full member of the team, dedicated to modernization efforts.
- Support the migration of mainframe systems to the cloud, focusing on backend development.
- Work with SQL databases to process and manage large-scale data operations.
- Contribute to the consolidation of 27 applications into 4 over a multi-year modernization project.
- Potentially participate in weekend support rotations in the future.
Qualifications: - 9 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- 9 years of Java development experience.
- 6 years of experience with Spring Boot.
- 3 years of cloud experience (Azure preferred, but any cloud is acceptable).
- Database experience, particularly with SQL.
- Experience with Kafka, JMS, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to complete and pass a HackerRank or Glider assessment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.

Pay Range: $60 - $70
