Learning Experience Designer (Remote)

Our client, a leading healthcare provider with a five State footprint is looking for a remote Learning Experience Designer for their Portland, Oregon location. Only candidates located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and North Dakota will be considered for this role. This resource will develop engaging asynchronous eLearning courses for healthcare operations team using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia. Upload and manage content in Workday Learning LMS.

Key Responsibilities for Learning Experience Designer:

• Design and develop interactive eLearning modules.
• Create video-based learning content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts.
• Upload and manage courses in Workday Learning.
• Apply instructional design best practices.
• Meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Deliverables include the following: Asynchronous eLearning courses; Self-paced modules in various formats; and Video tutorials and demonstrations.

Requirements/Qualifications for Learning Experience Designer:

• Learning Experience Designer would have a bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development and/or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years eLearning development experience in corporate environment
• Expert proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Rise
• Proficiency in Camtasia for video creation/editing
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (Workday preferred)
• Strong instructional design and adult learning principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Portfolio demonstrating eLearning work required
• Must have some experience in one or more of the following: training adult learners, learning and development consulting, group facilitation, instructional design, training administration, project management, event planning and/or distance learning.
• Experience designing, creating, and implementing digital learning, including eLearning and self-paced learning using authoring tools like Articulate 360 or Captivate and at least one Learning Management System (preferably Workday)
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and learning experience design models that promote behavior change in adult learners.
• Fluency in operating within a fast-paced, high stakes environment and balancing multiple competing priorities at once.
• Ability to assess educational needs and implement appropriate learning solutions according to appropriate adult learning methods.
• Ability to assess organizational needs and conduct problem analyses.
• Ability to monitor, evaluate and report the effectiveness of learning programs, events, and activities.
• Ability to design and deliver trainings to various audiences.
• Ability to influence and motivate employees to change or adopt new, more efficient, or effective behaviors.
• Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other employees and leadership.
• Ability to analyze and react independently in problem situations, think clearly under pressure, work within multiple work demands in abbreviated time frames, and always project a professional image.
• Proven experience utilizing rapid instructional design tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of, or willingness to learn to record and edit video or audio files using authoring tools like Audacity, Camtasia, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated knowledge of, or willingness to learn to select or create design elements that enhance the learning experience, including visual imagery, color palettes, audio, video, and typography.
• Ability to evaluate program effectiveness, identify issues and opportunities, and work to continuously improve programs offered.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast past environment, with ever changing priorities.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired
