Job Summary:

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer with strong backend development expertise and working knowledge of frontend technologies (Angular).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable enterprise applications, with primary focus on backend services, APIs and microservices while contributing to UI development as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
Participate in system design, architecture discussions and code reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA and DevOps teams.
Develop and enhance frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following industry best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing and production environments.
Support CI/CD processes and deployment activities.
Ensure application security, performance, scalability and reliability.

Required Skills:

Backend (Primary Focus):

Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+
Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
RESTful API development.
Microservices architecture.
Hibernate/ JPA
SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc)
Unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Frontend (Secondary Focus):

Experience working with UI Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ TypeScript.
Responsive UI development.

Other Technical Skills:

Git/GitHub or similar version control systems.
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
Build tools: Maven or Gradle.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform - Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of Agile/ Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications (Preferred):

Experience in Financial Services, Wealth Management or Investment domains.
Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Understanding of security best practices and authentication frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment. Self-motivated with a focus on quality and delivery.
