Job Title - Engineering Technician-Quantum Assembly Lab (First Shift)

Work Location: Yorktown, NY

Long term contract

Overview:

Client is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to support firstshift operations in a fastpaced, researchdriven environment. Quantum Assembly Lab(QAL) delivers advanced packaging solutions for Client s Quantum Computing programs and collaborates closely with teams across the Quantum Research Division, including the Microelectronics Research Lab (MRL) and Albany Nanotech Lab (ANT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute semiconductorstyle fabrication processes for quantum computing components
  • Perform handson cleanroom work, including photolithography, thinfilm deposition, wet processing, metrology/inspection, dicing, and bonding
  • Handle small, delicate components with precision using manual, nonautomated tools
  • Partner with technical teams to support R&D activities and ongoing experiments
  • Troubleshoot process issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain documentation, follow established procedures, and support process development

Required Qualifications

  • Handson experience in semiconductor processing, microfabrication, or cleanroom operations.
  • Strong dexterity and careful handling of small/fragile components
  • Proven problemsolving skills and technical curiosity
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
  • High motivation, adaptability, and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with photolithography, thinfilm processes, or wet etching
  • Familiarity with metrology and inspection tools
  • Background supporting R&D or advanced technology development
