Testing Governance Lead - Chicago IL

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Governance Consultant to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our software testing practices are robust, compliant with Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and System Development, Acquisition and Maintenance (SDAM) standards, and in alignment with industry-leading Quality Engineering (QE) standards. The consultant will drive the upliftment with a focus on continuous improvement of test governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and delivery of high-quality software across all business units.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing delivery, test governance, or quality engineering roles in regulated financial services or technology environments.
• Deep knowledge of FFIEC guidelines or other regulatory frameworks relevant to banking and financial institutions.
• Experience designing and implementing test governance or quality assurance frameworks aligned to regulatory and industry standards.
• Hands-on experience with QE tools and methodologies (e.g., test automation, CI/CD, Azure DevOps (ADO), test environment management, test data management, risk-based testing).
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, Agile/DevOps practices, and software risk management.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
