Lead Python Developer (DevOps/AWS)

Our Fortune 100 client is looking for a Lead Python Platform Developer to support cloud engineering and DevOps initiatives. This role blends Python development, Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, Terraform-based infrastructure automation, AWS cloud services, and container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes. This is a fully remote 6-month contract (plus potential extensions).

Essential Skills:


- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and automation

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including building and managing CI/CD pipelines using YAML

- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform for cloud provisioning

- Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture principles

- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes

- Familiarity with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or equivalent solutions

- Proficiency in YAML for defining pipelines, infrastructure, and configuration

- Solid understanding of DevOps and platform engineering practices, including automation and environment management

- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications


Plusses:


- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j
