Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced ERP Solutions Engineer with expertise in Aptean Manufacturing ERP (M2M) to lead the design, configuration, and support of our ERP platform. This role is critical to ensuring our M2M system effectively supports manufacturing operations, engineering processes, and financial integration across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong functional and technical knowledge of M2M, with the ability to translate complex manufacturing requirements into scalable ERP solutions. This individual will act as both a solution owner and escalation point, driving system improvements, standardization, and integration with adjacent tools.

Responsibilities

  • M2M Solution Ownership: Lead end-to-end lifecycle of ERP enhancements within Aptean M2M, including requirements, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Manufacturing Process Alignment
    • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to support:
      • BOM and routing structures
      • Production control and shop floor processes
      • Inventory and supply chain management
      • Costing and financial integration
  • ERP Configuration: Configure and optimize M2M modules, prioritizing standard functionality and minimizing customizations
  • Escalation Support: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex M2M ERP issues, including production-impacting scenarios
  • Integration & Data Flow: Support and troubleshoot integrations between M2M and adjacent systems (planning, MES, reporting tools), ensuring data accuracy and continuity
  • Testing & Validation: Define and execute test scenarios to validate manufacturing and financial processes end-to-end
  • Documentation: Develop concise, structured documentation (process flows, system overviews, data mapping) to support long-term sustainability
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve ERP usage, streamline processes, and enhance system performance

Skills & Experience
  1. ERP Depth M2M Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Aptean Manufacturing ERP (M2M) configuration and support
  2. Manufacturing Depth
    Strong understanding of:
    1. BOMs, routings, and engineering change processes
    2. Production scheduling and shop floor execution
    3. Inventory, procurement, and supply chain workflows
    4. Costing and financial integration
  3. ERP Lifecycle Experience:
Proven experience delivering ERP enhancements, upgrades, or implementations within a manufacturing environment
  4. Technical & Integration of Knowledge:
    1. Understanding of M2M data structures and workflows
    2. Experience with system integrations, data mapping, and troubleshooting
    3. Exposure to reporting tools (Power BI or similar) preferred
  5. Problem Solving & Support:
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex ERP issues impacting operations
  6. Communication:
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language

Key Attributes

Hands-On Practitioner: Deeply familiar with M2M system behavior-not just high-level ERP concepts
  • Manufacturing-Oriented: Understands real-world production environments and constraints
  • Solution-Oriented: Focuses on practical, scalable solutions over theoretical design
  • Ownership Mindset: Takes responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Continuous Improvement Focus: Looks for ways to optimize processes and system usage

Nature of Support

This role supports our Exeter, New Hampshire manufacturing site, which produces high-reliability, radiation-hardened electronic solutions for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This includes:
  • Designing, Implementing and Supporting mission-critical manufacturing and ERP processes
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for high-priority ERP-related issues
  • Ensuring consistent, reliable system performance to support mission critical business functions.
  • Partnering with business teams to ensure ERP alignment with operational needs
  • Available to be onsite regularly to provide onsite support, user guidance, and training
