Access Control Technician to support an ongoing security installation project and work alongside our current team member. This role focuses on day-to-day fieldwork involving access control hardware, troubleshooting, and device installation. The ideal candidate brings
5+ years of hands-on experience with access control systems and low-voltage wiring.
Responsibilities- Install, wire, and troubleshoot access control devices, including door controllers mounted above each door
- Wire and connect access control panels, door readers, and related hardware
- Use a meter to test circuits and identify shorts or wiring issues
- Assist the existing technician with system build-outs and field support
- Perform device layout, hardware mounting, and cable routing as needed
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Required Skills & Experience- Minimum 5 years of access control installation or similar low-voltage experience
- Strong proficiency in wiring door controllers, access control panels, and card readers
- Ability to diagnose electrical issues using a meter
- Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring best practices
- No programming required for this role
