Access Control Technician

6 weeks project (potential to extend)

Canton, GA -- On-site

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Technician to support an ongoing security installation project and work alongside our current team member. This role focuses on day-to-day fieldwork involving access control hardware, troubleshooting, and device installation. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on experience with access control systems and low-voltage wiring.
Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and troubleshoot access control devices, including door controllers mounted above each door
• Wire and connect access control panels, door readers, and related hardware
• Use a meter to test circuits and identify shorts or wiring issues
• Assist the existing technician with system build-outs and field support
• Perform device layout, hardware mounting, and cable routing as needed
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of access control installation or similar low-voltage experience
• Strong proficiency in wiring door controllers, access control panels, and card readers
• Ability to diagnose electrical issues using a meter
• Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring best practices
• No programming required for this role
