You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-domain engineering team delivering new technology solutions across the power tool ecosystem.
  • Define and drive Milwaukee Tool's technical strategy by influencing partners and aligning supporting teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, setting priorities to deliver on schedule, to spec, and within cost targets.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure decisions support suppliers, commercialization, and manufacturing strategy.
  • Identify and communicate strategic innovation opportunities, balancing customer value, competitiveness, and financial impact.
  • Oversee department operations, including budgeting, compensation, goal setting, and performance measurement.
  • Proactively surface and escalate key risks, technical gaps, and high-value opportunities to senior leadership.

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • 12+ years of applicable technical engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
  • Master of Science in Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Employ excellent problem-solving skills, exercise independent judgement, and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in electronics hardware, firmware, microcontrollers, controller design, power electronics, robotics, sensors, mechanics and/or materials.
  • Familiarity with machine learning model development, optimization, cloud processing, data storage, pipelines, and embedded environments.
  • Experience with the IP process including ideation, disclosure write-up, technical discussions with IP counsel.
  • Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to present and defend methods and conclusions of the investigation process.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
