The Techno-Functional QE Engineer (AI Automation) plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our retail and e-commerce platforms. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, automation skills, and domain knowledge to design, implement, and maintain robust testing strategies. The ideal candidate will leverage AI tools and frameworks to enhance test automation, reduce manual effort, and improve overall testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

<>Functional and Manual Testing

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure the quality of new features and releases.
• Review customer requirements, analyze business workflows, and prepare comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases to validate the functionality and performance of the applications.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Possess strong retail domain knowledge, preferably in e-commerce, online shopping, sales, and store operations.

<>Automation Testing

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks and regression suites using Playwright.
• Experience in API automation using REST Assured is preferred.
• Good knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and integrating automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to mobile automation testing for both Android and iOS applications.
• UiPath experience is a plus but not mandatory.

<>AI-Driven Test Automation

• Hands-on experience or strong practical knowledge of leveraging AI tools and frameworks to accelerate test automation.
• Experience using AI to generate test scenarios and test cases from business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for automation script generation, code enhancement, and test maintenance.
• Experience with AI-assisted locator identification, self-healing automation, and intelligent failure analysis is preferred.
• Ability to validate AI-generated test cases and scripts to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
• Knowledge of integrating AI capabilities into existing automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
• Understanding of how AI can improve test coverage, reduce repetitive manual effort, and accelerate regression execution.

<>Team Handling and Leadership

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA, with team-handling experience managing or coordinating a team of at least five members.
• Ability to review test deliverables, provide technical guidance, and drive testing activities across teams.
• Coordinate effectively between onshore and offshore teams, development teams, and other support groups to ensure smooth implementation and delivery.
• Proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and recommend solutions to improve quality and efficiency.

<>Communication and Delivery

• Strong customer interaction, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage daily priorities, and provide timely status reports.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership of testing deliverables, quality metrics, and release readiness.
