Job Title: SAP HCM Time Management Specialist – On Premise (Public Sector)

Practice Area: SAP HCM – On Premise

Customer Segment: Public Sector (SLED)

Engagement Type: Advisory / Configuration

Location: Remote

Duration: 3–6 months (possibility of extension)

Start: ASAP Schedule: 2 days/week for a total of 62 days

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Consultant with deep on-premise Time Management expertise to support an active public sector engagement. The individual must have hands-on experience with SAP Time Schema configuration and the ability to navigate the complexity and compliance requirements unique to government and public sector payroll environments.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain SAP Time Schema (TM04 or custom schemas), including personnel calculation rules (PCR), operations, and functions
Execute and troubleshoot Time Evaluation via PT60 and the full evaluation flow
Implement public sector time rules — shift differentials, overtime calculations, comp time, holiday pay, and leave accruals governed by collective bargaining or civil service codes
Design and manage Work Schedules, period work schedules, and day types for 24/7 shift environments (fire, police, transit, utilities)
Configure Absence and Attendance types, quota generation, and time transfer specifications
Debug and trace time schema logic using transactions PE01/PE02 and logs via PT_DOC00 or similar
Integrate Time Management output with SAP Payroll (infotypes IT0007, IT0050, IT0416, wage type generation via ZES/ZL tables)

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on configuration of SAP Time Schema (TM04 or custom schemas)
Deep understanding of Time Evaluation – PT60 and the full evaluation flow
Experience with PCRs, operations, and functions
Proficiency in Work Schedules and period work schedules for 24/7 shift environments
Familiarity with Absence/Attendance types, quota generation, and time transfers
Ability to debug and trace schema logic (PE01/PE02/PT_DOC00)
Experience integrating time output with SAP Payroll (IT0007, IT0050, IT0416, ZES/ZL)
