Build, maintain and continuously improve an infrastructure for a multi-site development team including source code repository, build tools and scripts, continuous integration infrastructure, packaging and deployment tools.
Establish and maintain agile development toolset including tools for managing user stories and product defects.
Establish processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including check-in validation rules and branch/merge processes.
Investigate and recommend best practices for maintaining code quality, including development of code metrics, code review workflows, code coverage measurement and the use of static and dynamic analysis tools.
Influence and drive operational excellence best practices within the organization.
Plan, create, and maintain large-scale software releases, libraries, and version control strategies across the organization, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery cycles.
Design, develop, and deploy robust CI/CD solutions that automate build, test, and deployment workflows across multiple teams and environments.
Architect tools, frameworks, and processes that enforce code quality standards, including static analysis, automated testing integration, and pre-merge validation gates.
Leverage and integrate AI capabilities to enhance developer productivity, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and continuously improve release workflows.
Define and govern branching models (e.g., Gitflow, trunk-based development), merge policies, and repository hygiene standards across the organization.
Maintain and scale build infrastructure.
Strong experience with CI/CD design and implementation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or similar).
Source control management expertise (Git, Perforce, SVN) including branching strategies (Gitflow, trunk-based development) and merge/repo hygiene policies.
Build systems and tooling (Make, Gradle, Maven, Bazel, MSBuild, CMake, etc.).
Scripting/automation proficiency (Python, Shell/Bash, PowerShell, Groovy, or similar).
Experience with packaging and deployment tools/artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus, Docker registries).
Containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) for build/deploy pipelines.
Infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Static and dynamic code analysis tools (SonarQube, Coverity, or similar).
Code coverage and test automation frameworks; SDET background with test integration into CI/CD.
Agile toolset administration (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally) for user stories/defect tracking.
Code review tooling and workflows (Gerrit, GitHub/GitLab PR processes).
Experience integrating AI/ML tools to automate engineering workflows and boost developer productivity.
Understanding of code quality metrics and release governance across multi-site/distributed teams.
Systems administration and scaling of build infrastructure (Linux/Windows server environments).
Version control strategy design for large-scale, multi-team software releases.
