Job Description
We are seeking a Data Architect - CRA Data Architecture & Reporting (CDAR) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS-based ETL architecture, and SSRS reporting and a proven ability to design, govern, and optimize data solutions that enable compliant CRA regulatory reporting and scalable analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise data models supporting CRA reporting, regulatory compliance, and business analytics.
- Define and enforce data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the CDAR ecosystem.
- Analyze source systems and design scalable solutions to integrate new data assets with lineage and metadata.
- Establish data governance, data quality, and stewardship frameworks for accurate reporting.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on database, ETL, and reporting initiatives.
- Kadince Software experience with data migration, import, export, and report creation. Create and maintain procedural documentation.
SQL Server & Database Engineering:
- Design, develop, and optimize solutions in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Create complex stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects with performance in mind.
- Execute performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Support upgrades, security controls, high availability, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, and compliance with enterprise technology standards.
- Leverage REST APIs and GraphQL for data integration and migration where applicable.
ETL & Data Integration:
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Use Autosys to schedule, orchestrate, and monitor ETL workflows.
- Design and optimize ingestion from internal and external data sources with integrity controls.
- Automate workflows supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Partner with upstream and downstream teams to resolve integration issues.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and support SSRS reporting solutions for regulatory, operational, and executive reporting.
- Design scalable reporting architectures with automation and distribution controls.
- Translate business reporting requirements into robust technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Transact-SQL development.
- Hands-on SSIS ETL architecture, development, deployment, and monitoring experience.
- Proficiency with SSRS report design, performance optimization, and automation.
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL for data integration and migration use cases.
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality practices in regulated environments.
- Ability to translate business requests into technical requirements and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and validation of SQL queries and reports.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft BI Stack components: SSAS, Excel Services, PerformancePoint, and PowerPivot.
- SharePoint experience with BI integrations.
- Autosys scheduling in enterprise data environments.
