Based upon candidate qualifications applicants will be assessed through Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant job levels.
We are seeking an
Accountant to join our
Expense Accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring company-wide expenses are accurately analyzed, allocated, and reported across multiple business segments and legal entities. You will be a key contributor within a collaborative accounting team that supports expense transparency, budgeting, and intercompany alignment. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys analysis over transactional work, asks thoughtful questions when discrepancies are identified, and desires visibility into how expenses impact the broader organization.
What You Will Do: - Analyze company expenses and allocate costs across business segments, cost centers, and legal entities to support accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries in SAP, with an increasing focus on analysis and reporting rather than purely transactional activity
- Investigate and resolve expense discrepancies, including researching variances and asking questions when costs appear higher than expected
- Support budgeting activities by partnering with Budget Coordinato rs and business teams to review inputs, validate expense assumptions, and prepare for future budget cycles
- Participate in intercompany accounting activities, including cost-sharing arrangements and intercompany settlements between affiliated companies
- Provide accounting guidance to operating areas and share knowledge with team members to strengthen overall team capability
What We Are Looking For: - A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; however, will consider two-year degree and relevant work experience
- Accounting experience in an industry accounting environment or a mid-size/large public accounting firm
- A traditional accounting background with demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing journal entries
- Experience working with expense accounting, analysis, and financial reporting
- Advanced skills in Excel
- SAP (S/4HANA) experience and BPC or data warehouse reporting skills is beneficial
