Position Summary
The Release & Deployment Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing release and deployment activities for enterprise applications and infrastructure as part of large-scale Data Center Migration initiatives. The role ensures seamless migration, controlled production releases, minimal business disruption, and adherence to change management, governance, and operational standards. The individual will work closely with infrastructure, application, database, network, security, cloud, testing, and business teams to deliver successful migration and deployment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end release and deployment activities for Data Center Migration projects.
- Develop release calendars, deployment schedules, cutover plans, and rollback strategies.
- Coordinate application, infrastructure, database, network, security, and cloud teams during migration activities.
- Lead release readiness reviews and ensure all deployment prerequisites are completed.
- Manage production deployments while minimizing business impact and downtime.
- Oversee change management activities and obtain required approvals through established governance processes.
- Coordinate deployment windows, maintenance activities, and production cutovers.
- Monitor deployment progress and resolve release-related risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain deployment documentation, release plans, implementation procedures, and post-implementation reports.
- Conduct post-deployment validation and ensure successful production stabilization.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, project management, business stakeholders, and leadership throughout the release lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, operational procedures, and change management policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve release processes, deployment automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support disaster recovery testing, rollback exercises, and business continuity initiatives related to migration activities.
- Provide regular status reporting, release metrics, risk assessments, and executive updates to project leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, or Infrastructure Project Delivery.
- Experience managing enterprise application and infrastructure releases.
- Experience supporting large-scale Data Center Migration or Infrastructure Modernization projects.
- Strong understanding of Change Management and Release Governance processes.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise financial services or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Experience coordinating multiple concurrent releases across enterprise environments.
