Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Database Developer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This role is for a strategic program focused on providing actionable informational dashboards to drive operational excellence. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining T-SQL code, creating table structures, and processing data for critical reporting needs. This position requires the ability to work independently, understand requirements, and write ETL programs to source data from various upstream systems.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain T-SQL code including complex stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
- Create and modify database schemas, tables, and indexes
- Design and implement ETL processes to source data from various upstream database systems and file formats (XML, CSV, etc.)
- Perform database and query optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting for large datasets
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
- Ensure data architecture and database design are efficient and scalable
Requirements: - 7+ years of full-time experience in MS SQL development
- 5+ years of experience as an MS SQL / T-SQL Developer with stored procedures, views, triggers, and cursors
- Strong experience with MSSQL Server 2012 or higher
- Proficiency with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
- Solid understanding of data architecture, efficient database design, and writing complex queries
- Experience with query tuning and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of version control systems like TFS (Team Foundation Service) or BitBucket
- Experience with Visual Studio 2013 or higher
- Familiarity with IT Infrastructure management domain
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Desired skills: - Experience with Autosys for ETL processing
- C# scripting experience
- Experience with Tableau
- Familiarity with object-oriented database design and development
Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
