In the role of CAD Technician, we'll count on you to:

  • Work within the Roadway Design Group collaborating with engineers and design group staff to develop deliverables to prescribed client presentation standards
  • Have a sound working knowledge of Microstation and/or AutoCAD software packages
  • Have an understanding of engineering documentation and CAD file management processes
  • Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets
  • Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output
  • Coordinate the design with other discipline models
  • Utilize/develop understanding of Digital Delivery project protocols and processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
