Job Details:
Job Title: Assembler 3
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and machines using hand/power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and BOMs
Align, fit, and adjust parts to required tolerances
Install bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic/hydraulic components
Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and fabrication tasks
Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot assembly issues
Maintain a clean workspace (5S) and follow OSHA/company safety procedures
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
Basic Qualifications (Mandatory):
High School Diploma or GED
1-3+ years mechanical assembly experience (machinery/industrial equipment preferred)
Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
Experience with hand/power tools and precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches)
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with welding, soldering, machining (CNC), and assembly tools
Experience using micrometers/calipers for inspections
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical/vocational training in mechanical technology
Experience in automation, custom machinery, or manufacturing environments
Forklift or overhead crane certification
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, GD&T standards, and PLCs (plus)
Open to overtime
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs
Prolonged standing, bending, reaching
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in a moderate-noise manufacturing environment
