Summary

II-1. General Description

1. Design and build material support systems with focus in material flow improvements.

2. UPH/UPM improvements in Assembly lines (waste reduction).

3. Scrap reduction in Assembly and Pre-Production areas.

4. In house packaging design and development for new and current programs.

5. Manage Innovation support team workload daily.

6. Support Innovation Team with current projects, support Production and Pre-Production improvement activities as directed by Innovation Manager/Innovation Assistant Manager. II-2.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Design and develop material support systems for Pre-Production and Assembly for new programs.

2. Track spending of support systems built for all areas.

3. Develop and implement line layout improvements focusing on UPH/UPMH and Scrap reduction.

4. Improve material flow in Pre-Production, Assembly and Warehouse.

5. Create In House packaging forms for CFT approval.

6. Plan and design in house packaging for new programs and coordinate improvements for current programs.

7. Coordinate with other departments as needed for packaging process and concept approval.

8. Manage Packaging database system (Approvals, Drawings and Quantities).

9. Improve Pre-Production WIP layout to accommodate new programs or remove old programs.

10. Support BEP/TFT and other special projects as Innovation Manager request.

11. Coordinate Innovation Operators daily work assignments in cooperation with Innovation Team Leader.

12. Support weekly inventory of supplies needed for Innovation.

13. Create standards based on Lean Manufacturing Principals. 14. Other assigned tasks as needed.

Job Requirements II-3-

1. Work Experience 1. Prefer 3 years' experience in a production automotive supplier facility.

2. Material flow and support systems, layout and design.

3. Design and Develop Packaging.

II-3-2. Education

1. College Degree; prefer Bachelor degree.

2. Lean Manufacturing.

3. Drawing software (AutoCAD or similar)

II-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities

1. Quality and environmental systems.

2. Knowledge about Lean Manufacturing and its tools.

3. Problem solving techniques, Waste identification, 6S

4. Strong organizational skills.

5. Training in the work area.

6. Leadership self-motivates, proactive.

7. Internal work regulations.

8. Ability to work with little to no supervision.

9. Knowledge of computer packages (MS OFFICE)

10. Strong oral and written communication skills.
