The Work:
The IT Specialist is a highly skilled professional tasked with maintaining the technology infrastructure and IT systems that support organizational and mission-critical functions. This role involves ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of IT infrastructure and providing direct technical support to end-users and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with social media configuration (Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams, WebEx).
- Perform mobile device setup and deployment.
- Assist in maintaining the IT inventory and provide hardware/software support to 500+ customers in a mostly Windows based environment.
- Execute configurations for routers, switches, wireless AP's and WLAN controllers using Cisco/HP hardware.
- Carry out network performance monitoring, planning, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Monitor performance and analyzed network irregularities.
- Support mobile device and mobile device inventory.
- Rebuild network infrastructure and keep the network up-to-date and secure.
- Troubleshoot various network issues, affect solutions and collaborate with staff and outside vendors to resolve complex problems.
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain Operating Systems including Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, VMware ESXi.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications - Here's What You Need:
- Experience with firewall deployments, IPsec, and SharePoint Administration a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field preferred. Proven experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Secret Clerance is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including follow-up on pending tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Timely, accurate, complete and up-to-date work products.

- Ability to operate significantly under own initiative and as part of a team, including drafting proposals and recommending effective approaches to tasks with minimal guidance.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of actors in the E Family and other Bureaus and offices, as well as with interagency and external partners.

Reports to: Program Manager
Working Conditions:
- Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
- Light physical activity may occasionally be required:
- Installation or replacement of hardware components (e.g., servers, routers, network cabling).
- Lifting or moving IT equipment (usually under 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
- May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
- May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
- May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
