Job OverviewLeads hands-on innovation for medical devices, focusing on early-stage concept generation, feasibility, and translational research. Responsible for inventing and developing novel technologies and advancing them toward product development within a regulated environment.
Job Responsibilities and Essential DutiesA list of the main responsibilities and percentage of time spent in each responsibility or group of responsibilities:
- Innovation & Concept Development (60%)
- Research (25%)
- Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)
- Technical Leadership (5%)
Minimum Requirements- Master's (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of experience.
- 3+ years in medical device R&D preferred
- Experience in innovation and regulated environments
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Strong engineering fundamentals and minimally invasive medical device design
- Prototyping and testing experience (CNC, 3D printing)
- Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485
- Strong problem-solving and communication
- CAD design in Solidworks
Salary range: $120k - $135k
