Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Engineering & Infrastructure- Analyze, design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure
- Engineer and maintain routing and switching environments using Cisco technologies
- Support network systems including:
- Routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Traffic QoS
- VoIP and IP-based devices
- Critical applications and services
- Manage network maintenance and upgrades to keep systems at appropriate release levels
- Specialize in one or more network engineering domains
Cisco & Network Technologies- Design and implement routing protocols including:
- Implement advanced IP routing, VLANs, SVI configurations, trunking, and access control lists
- Deploy and support:
- Load balancing solutions
- Wireless access points and controllers
- Firewalls and VPN technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain Cisco ACI environments, including:
- Multi-Site Architecture (MSO) for Data Centers
Implementation & Support- Install, configure, and support network management systems
- Install, configure, and support IP-based video solutions
- Provide timely resolution of complex network problems
- Assist computer operators and staff with software and hardware-related issues
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of specifications to internal teams
Vendor Evaluation & Documentation- Evaluate new and existing network products and technologies
- Develop documentation and recommendations for vendor selection and implementation
- Assist with the formulation of technical specifications for network systems and services
- Research emerging hardware and software advancements
Operational Excellence- Complete assigned work in accordance with:
- Statements of Work (SOW)
- Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Project plans
- Create and communicate detailed status reports following department standards
- Adhere to organizational safety, confidentiality, policy, and compliance standards
Minimum QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience engineering, implementing, and supporting TCP/IP networks
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cisco routers and switches
- Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, SVI configurations, and migrations
- Cisco ACI environments with MSO Multi-Site Data Center architecture
- Palo Alto Firewalls (Edge, 5450, 450 series, GlobalProtect)
- F5 APM VPN
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise WAN and LAN environments
Certifications (Preferred)- Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCIE preferred
- Additional industry-standard networking certifications a plus
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCore Technical Knowledge- Expert-level switching, spanning-tree, VLAN trunking, and advanced routing (EIGRP and others)
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network systems and services:
- Servers, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP, QoS, and IP devices
- In-depth understanding of routing protocols and their interaction with compute, storage, and infrastructure platforms
- Familiarity with:
- Juniper networking appliances
- Cisco UCCX, CUCM, Finesse, and voice platforms
- Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers, access points, and profiles
- Cisco ISE and DNA Center
Technical & Analytical Skills- Advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and upgrade experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Comfortable interpreting complex technical drawings, diagrams, and documentation
Communication & Reporting- Ability to write technical reports, procedures, and business correspondence
- Ability to present technical information clearly to varied audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment- Primarily office-based with prolonged sitting and computer use
- Requires close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
