Safety Program Coordinator-Bilingual English-Spanish Village Green Landscapes is a locally owned and operated full-scale landscape company serving the Twin Cities metro area with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. We provide lawn maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, turf care, fertilization, snow removal, and contract trucking services.
We are seeking an experienced and bilingual (English/Spanish) Safety Program Coordinator.The Safety Program Coordinator serves as a critical leadership role in the management and delivery of high-quality services while leading the organization towards a positive and forward-thinking safety culture.
This position will provide structure, training, and support to drive consistent safety performance for all Village Green Landscapes teams. They are responsible for facilitation and oversite of workplace safety.
This is a Full Time, Salaried, Benefit Eligible Position.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / year
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement effective safety and team training programs.
- Provide guidance and oversight for staff safety training.
- Create, implement, and lead formal safety training curriculum.
- Lead safety meetings, including Safety Committee and Safety Leadership meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of OSHA requirements and other relevant safety standards.
- Conduct workplace inspections, observe work practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Complete risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, analyze, and communicate safety reports and performance metrics.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to team members and leaders.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of industry equipment, tools, and work practices.
- Develop technical knowledge of the work performed to effectively support teams, assess work quality, and create tools and resources for team success.
- Make high-quality decisions in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Promote and support a positive, proactive, and accountable safety culture throughout the organization.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired- English and Spanish language proficiency, spoken and written
- Proficient in use of technology including Microsoft suite
- Demonstrated ability to create presentations, training materials, and reports
- 2+ years of experience with workplace safety
- 2+ years of experience working in the landscape/lawn maintenance industry or equivalent
- Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record
- DOT health card
- Ability to pass a pre- employment drug test
Preferred Associate or bachelor\'s degree
