Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect - Payments Systems Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Addison, TX and Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities: - Own the full migration program across 10+ concurrent enterprise client projects, driving milestone tracking, risk management, and executive status reporting to senior leadership
- Lead 20+ weekly internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring all workstreams stay within guardrails and action items are assigned, tracked, and resolved on schedule
- Define and manage incremental Client platform technical builds, enhancements, and amendments required to support the migration, including participation in detailed design reviews with engineering teams
- Translate complex technical topics-interchange monitoring, settlement file integration, inflight transaction handling, processing configuration changes-into clear, client-facing documentation and presentations
- Lead client kickoff meetings and ongoing communication across key work tracks: boarding, reporting integration, settlement file integration, and migration wave planning
- Develop and maintain migration plans, wave calendars, and execution triggers for individual client rollouts, coordinating testing requirements within platform Change Release cycles
Requirements: - Hands-on experience with Client payment processing platforms, including familiarity with tools such as FOCUS, Buypass, and Commerce Control Center (CCC) reporting
- Deep understanding of payment processing concepts including interchange monitoring, merchant boarding, settlement file (PTS) integration, authorization logging, and MID-level configuration
- Proven track record managing large-scale payment platform migration programs involving thousands of merchant locations across multiple enterprise clients simultaneously
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to participate in detailed design reviews, understand platform architecture decisions, and evaluate custom build requirements
- Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly documentation and presentations for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience coordinating across Change Release cycles, client UAT processes, and phased migration rollouts (wave planning, pilot programs, execution triggers)
- Strong executive communication skills with experience providing portfolio-level status reporting to senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to manage 10+ concurrent projects with competing priorities, dependencies, and timelines
- Experience working across cross-functional teams including project management, platform engineering, client success, and executive stakeholders
- Background in payment processing, merchant services, or financial technology
Desired skills: - Experience with platform sunset or decommissioning programs
Pay range: $59.72 - $67.72
