Summary

Principal Python Engineer(Need Ex-Insurance Candidate)
Location: New Jersey
This role is the forefront of enterprise AI, building intelligent agentic systems that reason, plan, and take action across complex business workflows. You will design and implement Python-based agents that orchestrate models, tools, and data to automate real-world decision-making at scale. This role blends deep engineering with cutting-edge AI-working on everything from agent frameworks and APIs to safety, observability, and performance. If you are excited about shaping how autonomous systems operate in production, this is where you'll make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python.
* Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture decisions.
* Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices - also with assistance of LLM.
* Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
* Drive improvements in code quality, tooling, CI/CD, and engineering processes.
* Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues when needed.
Required Qualifications
* 12+ plus years of professional software engineering experience, with strong focus on Python
* Deep understanding of Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or similar
* Experience building and consuming MCPs, RESTful APIs (and/or GraphQL)
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms - Azure experience preferred.
* Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
* Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation
* Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with designing and building agentic platforms.
* Experience with microservices architecture
* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration
* Exposure to event-driven systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
* Experience working in high-scale, production environments.
* Prior experience mentoring or leading engineers.
